How to prep aluminium

Aluminium pays best when it is not mixed with steel, plastic or rubber. Window frames with glass still in, or wheels with tyres on, grade down because the contamination has to come off. Pull what you can. We will show you the rate difference on the bench.

What not to bring

Aluminium with heavy steel attached is graded as mixed, not clean extrusion. Foil and heavily painted thin sheet may grade low. We explain the grade before we weigh.
